The association, based in Berlin, exclusively and directly pursues non-profit and charitable purposes within the meaning of the section "tax-privileged purposes" of the tax code. The association's purpose is to promote and support the process of lifelong learning, learning with and from one another, as well as an exchange of information and knowledge across geographical and cultural borders with and through its activities. As part of this, the association develops ideas and concepts and implements its own or joint studies and projects in close cooperation with national, European and international partners. In this sense, relationships are built between schools, universities, governmental and non-governmental organizations and companies at home and abroad and increased cooperation in education, research, science and culture is promoted.
Through interprofessional exchange, new specific skills are acquired, expertise and experience are communicated and exchanged between the actors, and their existing qualifications are optimized and expanded. In addition, this makes another important contribution to increased communication and interaction between different cultures. This also contributes to international spirit, tolerance in all areas of culture and the idea of international understanding by building bridges between cultures and eliminating culturally-based misunderstandings, conflicts or obstacles.
Other goals of the ARSU Academy for Lifelong Learning and Development Germany eV are to promote gender equality, equal opportunities in education and working life for all, diversity in society, and to combat racism, xenophobia and discrimination of any kind. In this context, the association is also committed to helping people who are politically, racially or religiously persecuted and supports their successful social, professional, cultural and linguistic integration into the host society. In this field of work, the association initiates and implements projects, develops strategies, concepts and solutions that make an important contribution to the rapid integration of migrants, refugees and asylum seekers. Accordingly, the association offers information, advice, lectures and courses to provide needs-based support to the relevant target groups and is committed to improving these target groups' access to education, advice and employment. By advocating for people of different cultures to live together peacefully in Germany, the association also makes an important contribution to international understanding.
More and more people are overwhelmed by the responsibilities of daily life and are looking for help and advice to maintain their health in the long term and prevent illness. In this context, the association aims to promote the physical, mental and/or emotional health of the general public by offering events, courses, seminars and lectures.
