The Erasmus project "I' HERE TOO" aims to provide all students with an equal and high-quality education. The focus is on teaching teachers the necessary methods and techniques to successfully implement inclusive education. Inclusive education means that students with special needs learn together with their peers in regular classes. The project takes into account the individual abilities, learning speeds and emotional and cognitive characteristics of the learners, which can vary from person to person.
Educational equity is a fundamental human right that is UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities This convention requires that people with disabilities not only have access to general education systems, but also receive the necessary support to learn on an equal basis. However, studies show that many teachers do not feel sufficiently prepared to effectively support students with special needs. This project aims to close this gap by teaching teachers innovative, practical and effective approaches to inclusive learning. This should reduce prejudice and promote an inclusive school culture.
The project is aimed at:
The main target group is teachers, as they play a key role in the successful implementation of inclusive education. They should be enabled to use various teaching methods to respond to the individual needs of students and thus promote their integration into school and social life.
The project will apply various innovative approaches and techniques of inclusive education, including:
The collaboration with international partners enables the exchange of knowledge and best practices in the field of inclusive education. The partner organisations from Germany, Italy, Malta and Turkey bring different perspectives and expertise that enrich the project. The ARSU Academy in Germany takes the lead in delivering practice-based training and workshops that help teachers implement new approaches directly in their schools. This transnational collaboration helps to develop and disseminate innovative educational strategies that can bring about sustainable change at European level.
The project is divided into four main activities, each taking place in one of the partner countries:
This project will not only improve the quality of the educational process, but will also make an important contribution to the social integration of students with special needs. The training for teachers, the exchange of best practices and the development of new methods will contribute in the long term to establishing inclusive learning environments in the participating schools. The knowledge gained will be shared via the Erasmus platforms and local networks so that the project results are made accessible to a wider public.
In the long term, the project aims to initiate sustainable changes in schools by promoting a more inclusive learning culture. The participating teachers become multipliers who pass on the knowledge they have gained and apply it in their own classes. The students benefit from a supportive and stimulating learning environment that strengthens their academic and social skills. The transnational partnerships help to achieve European educational goals and promote the integration of disadvantaged students.
